THE 2ND DECLARATION


In the course of human events, when it becomes necessary for a people to reform the political bonds which have connected them with a corrupt and captured establishment, and to reclaim among the powers of the earth the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature entitle them, a decent respect for the opinions of humankind requires that they declare the causes which compel them to this reformation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all persons are born with inherent potential; a decent respect for the opinions of humankind requires that they declare the causes which compel them to this reformation.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among the people, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed—a consent that must be earned, not bought. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to reform it.

Our Grievances


The history of the present establishment is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having as their direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny of wealth over the common citizen. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world:

They have allowed our halls of government to become a marketplace where laws are sold to the highest bidder, silencing the voice of the individual with the whisper of gold from corporate coffers.

They have transformed public service into a vehicle for personal enrichment, using the authority granted by the people to amass fortunes for themselves and their kin.

They have legalized theft by granting themselves the power to trade on financial knowledge held in public trust—a privilege they deny to the citizens they are sworn to serve.

They have undermined the sacred right to vote—the very foundation of a free republic—by manipulating electoral maps to choose their voters and by erecting barriers to silence the voices of those they fear.

They have created two systems of justice: one for the wealthy and powerful, who purchase their impunity, and another for the common citizen, who faces the full and unforgiving force of the law.

They have placed the fox in charge of the henhouse, allowing the very industries that endanger our health and safety to capture the regulatory agencies meant to oversee them.

They have spilled the blood of our children on foreign soil—not in the defense of liberty, but in pursuit of profit for a military-industrial machine that thrives on perpetual conflict.

They have perpetuated a system where the quality of a child's education and a citizen’s healthcare is determined by the zip code of their birth—creating a caste system in a land that promised none.

They have taken the promise of the American Dream and twisted it into a rigged game, where the opportunity for our children to build a better life has been sold to the highest bidder.

They have fueled the fires of division, turning neighbor against neighbor with the poison of manufactured outrage, all to distract from their shared culpability.

They have turned human suffering into a profit center. They allowed pharmaceutical corporations to flood our streets with addictive poison for profit, then built a private prison industry to profit again by locking up the victims. They treat addiction as a business model rather than a crisis, because there is no money in a cured patient, but there are billions in a filled cell.

They have rigged the economy to protect their own failures. When a small business fails, it closes. When a working family fails, they lose their home. But when the banks and corporations that own our politicians fail, they are bailed out with our tax dollars. They keep their profits, but send us the bill for their losses.

They profit from our anger. The corporate media complex does not exist to inform the public; it exists to sell ads. And they have learned that hate sells better than truth. They deliberately engineer social conflict, exaggerate our differences, and terrified us of our neighbors to keep us watching, clicking, and divided.

They have betrayed the public trust so completely that faith in our institutions has crumbled to dust, leaving a void of cynicism and despair in its wake.

Our Declaration


Therefore, we, the undersigned citizens of these United States of America, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by the Authority of the good People of these States, solemnly publish and declare, That we are, and of Right ought to be, Free from the tyranny of a captured government.

We declare our independence from a system that serves wealth over people. We declare our unity as a people, indivisible by the manufactured wedge issues designed to control us. We pledge to each other our mutual support in the cause of reclaiming our government. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of the strength of our shared purpose, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
